The O’s are in position to win 2 straight at Minnesota for the first time since Sept. 17-18, 2004. The Twins have lost 8 of its last 12 games in the Humpdome.

Glen Perkins is coming off the worst start of his career. He gave up 5 runs and 10 hits in four innings in a 6-5 loss to the stinkin Yankees on Friday. The left-hander, in his first season as a starter, had given up 3 runs or less in each of his previous 4 starts.

Daniel Cabrera has given up 3 runs or less in nine of his last 10 starts. The right-hander is 5-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 8 starts against Minnesota.

George Sherrill has saves in consecutive games after going 16 days without a save. He has allowed just one run in his last 10 appearances, spanning 9 1-3 innings, striking out 10 while converting all six save opportunities.
